Pendine Sands is a 11 km stretch of beach along the south coast of Carmarthenshire in Wales, the United Kingdom. I visited the place back in February and March 2011 and posted about it before here. I was browsing through my photos and decided to post a few I hadn’t before. Even now, I still think the predominantly dreary and cold weather did not manage to take away any of the area’s natural beauty. Perhaps the desolateness of the winter months added to its grand character.
Although it does not have anything to do with these photos or this place, I still very vividly remember going out and about to explore the area the days we were there, but also spending the last few days anxiously checking out the latest news reports on the Touhoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan. I can’t help associating these photos with those memories.
